Down to the Sea

"I must go down to the sea again,..."

A friend was looking at one of my other pieces and said that an unintended shape reminded her of a sail. The idea stuck in my head and I was off on a series of sail-inspired work. My first intent was with small jewelry pieces - one of which I gave to my inspiring friend.

Then I tried a larger format,

and finally a small plate.
